Annual Meeting of the Parish

The statutory Town meeting (LGA 1972 s9(1). This is a meeting for the whole of the parish of Chipping Campden. It consists of the electors registered for the area for which it is held and in addition, if there is a parish or town council its chairman may attend (whether they are an elector or not). If they are present then they must preside. The vice-chairman (if any) must preside in the chairman's absence. If both are absent, the meeting elects someone to preside.
